Are you looking for piano lessons for yourself or your family?
You've come to the right place. Welcome to Castillo Piano Studio! I am Libby Castillo, a lifetime music lover, a longtime pianist, and a dedicated teacher and learner. If you, or your child(ren), would like to begin exploring the wonderful world of music, I welcome beginners ages 6 through 106. If you are considering resuming piano study after a break of a few weeks or many years, I will help you dive back in!Weekly private lessons include music theory, reading music in different styles, musicality, sight reading, technique, and performance skills including memorization. My goal is to foster independence in music making so that my students ultimately put me out of a job! Theory and testing, NFMC Gold Cup Festival, studio recitals, Ragtime Festival, JK Hodges Contemporary Music Competition, and nursing home visits are some of the extras offered beyond the core private lessons once each week. Royal Conservatory of Music exam preparation is also offered.
My home studio is located just inside Bulverde Road and Loop 1604 in the Green Spring Valley neighborhood in San Antonio. I have worked with many homeschooling families and welcome daytime lessons for these students and adults. Early morning, after school, and evening lessons are also available. Nearby schools include Great Hearts Northern Oaks; Redland Oaks, Wetmore, and Thousand Oaks Elementary Schools; San Antonio Christian School; Bradley, Harris, and Tex Hill Middle Schools; San Antonio Country Day Montessori; and MacArthur, Madison, and Johnson High Schools, although my roster includes students from near and far!
Please contact me by clicking on "Contact" above if you would like further information about lessons for yourself and/or your child(ren). Thank you!
Musically yours,
